Shirdi Saibaba (25-Dec-2010)

Shirdi Saibaba darshan dated 25-Dec-2010

Started from Pune on 24-Dec-2010 in a travels by 10.00pm. Myself and Sankar packed all the required things and started from home (Roseland residency, Pimple saudagar, Pune) and reached Jagtap diary by 10.00pm. Bus came by 10.30pm.

Pune to Shirdi is around 185 kms and approximately it takes 4 hours journey.

Morning we reached shirdi by 4.30am, bus stopped at all the important places to make full and hence the delay. As on this date travel cost is Rs.180, however since it is a long weekend, we paid Rs.250 per person. All the volvo a/c buses were full, so we got only ordinary bus for this trip.

Morning, we got down by 4.30am and enquired about the lodges for refreshing ourselves. But all the lodges were full due to long weekend. Finally one person helped us to go to Sai Chintan, nearby busstand. We refreshed there and started to temple after having a cup of tea.

We purchased sacred threads to place in front of Baba and reached the temple exactly by 6.00am. we had a very good darshan around 7.00am to 7.30am. We purchased prasadam, chandhan for home. Sai chandhan is famous one.

After brief shopping of diary, calendar, Sai photos, idols, key chains, etc., we went to Sai prasadalaya for having free temple food.
Food quality and service is really remarkable. I would advise people to take food atleast once, when you visit Shirdi.

I purchased Sai baba arathi Mp3 song and took some snaps in my mobile. We returned nearby temple gate again and booked shared vehicle to visit Shani singanapur. Actual charge per person is around Rs.60 to Rs.100, but they charged Rs.250 due to long weekend. Heavy traffic jam on the way and finally reached the temple by 2.00pm.

Some agents nearby temple are forcing to wear wet dhoti before entering the temple. But somehow we escaped from their traps and got the blessing of Sani singanapur. Returned shirdi by 8.00pm and had food at one Udipi hotel. We started our trip to Nasik to visit Thriyambakeshwarar temple.

Overall it is an excellent trip and had good darshan of Saibaba.

Normally people fear and won't like to visit samadhi's or graveyard. But here temple is build on the top of samadhi of Saibaba. If you do good things in life and live for others, obviously the place around you becames sacred and powerful whether you are there or not. Isn't it ??
